Hydroxyethyl starch 200/0.5 is a chemical drug. It is a second-generation hydroxyethyl starch product and one of the commonly used plasma substitutes. The sodium chloride content does not exceed 13%.
Hydroxyethyl starch 200/0.5 can increase plasma volume, thereby improving cardiac output and oxygen delivery values, and can improve hemodynamics and oxygen delivery in patients with hypovolemia and shock; it can also reduce hematocrit, reduce blood and plasma viscosity
Treatment and prevention of hypovolemia (hypovolemia) and shock (volume replacement therapy): The maximum dose is 33 mL/kg body weight/day (Hess 6%) or 20 mL/kg body weight/day (Hess 10%), The maximum infusion rate is 20 mL/kg body weight/hour. The duration and dose of treatment depend on the duration and extent of hypovolemia.
During the application of Hydroxyethyl Starch 200/0.5 Sodium Chloride Injection, some patients with certain health conditions may cause tachycardia, accompanied by symptoms such as decreased blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. It can also cause shock and bronchospasm.
Severe congestive heart failure (cardiac insufficiency), renal failure (serum creatinine 2 mg/dl or 177 μmol/l), severe coagulopathy (but may still be considered in life-threatening emergency cases), fluid overload (excessive water intake) Too much) or severe lack of fluids (dehydration), cerebral hemorrhage, and starch allergy are contraindicated.
